Three members of the UIS men's track and field team competed at SIUE's Cougar Classic on Saturday afternoon, going up against a strong field that included NCAA Division I opponents from Missouri, Southern Indiana, Lindenwood, and Evansville.

• Dom Cantarini, a freshman, placed 14th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:03.85, just ahead of teammate Finn Loken, who was 15th in 4:05.26.
• In the 800-meter run, Lucas Naugle placed 19th out of 26 runners with a time of 2:06.23.

A partial squad will head west to Azusa, California, for the Bryan Clay Invitational next week. The rest of the team will travel to Indiana State for the Gibson Invitational on Saturday in Terre Haute, Indiana.
