The UIS Baseball team picked up two more wins against Lincoln on Saturday afternoon, winning 9-1 in the first game and 10-0 in the second game via run-rule. The Prairie Stars are now 16-10 overall and 10-5 in conference play.
GAME ONE | W, 9-1
- Mark Decicco started strong, sitting down the Blue Tigers in order in the first inning.
- Ivan Dahlberg put UIS on the board with a home run in his first at-bat.
- UIS plated two more runs in the second inning, courtesy of a Ty Hollandsworth RBI double. Lincoln threatened with two two-out singles after two strikeouts in the third, but stranded both runners.
- UIS added another run in the third, with Dahlberg crossing the plate on a Noah Caceres single.
- Decicco struck out all three batters in the fourth, bringing his total strikeouts to eight.
- The Prairie Stars scored five runs in the fifth on five hits, with Mark Kattula leading off with a double, followed by an Ivan Dahlberg triple. Jackson Blemler plated one with a sac fly, Kody Morton scored on a wild pitch, and Chris Suchoski crossed the plate on a Ty Hollandsworth single.
- Lincoln hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh, but couldn't mount a comeback and fell 9-1.
- Ivan Dahlberg went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBIs, a triple, and a home run. Kattula and Hollandsworth each had a double.
- Mark Decicco (2-3) went the distance in the seven inning game, allowing one run on four hits, while striking out 12.
GAME TWO | W, 10-0
- Adam Lindsey struck out three batters to start the game, setting the tone early.
- UIS scored two runs in the first inning: an Ivan Dahlberg RBI single and a bases-loaded hit by pitch.
- The score remained 2-0 until the fourth, when Mack Clark homered to center field, followed by a Ty Hollandsworth triple. Nate Bingman added a double to score Hollandsworth, and a Kattula double plated Bingman to make it 5-0.
- Lindsey went 5.2 innings, allowing just three hits, walking two, and striking out nine. Austin Loberger came in as the reliever for the final 1.1 innings.
- In the sixth, Nate Bingman hit a home run of his own, scoring Hollandsworth. Kody Morton also homered, plating Dahlberg, who had walked and stolen second.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Jackson Blemler was hit by a pitch and reached second on a passed ball. Nick Melvin singled before being thrown out at second base, advancing Blemler to third. Bingman then hit a game-ending single to left field that scored Blemler.
- Nate Bingman went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBIs. Kody Morton went 2-for-3 with one run scored and three RBIs.
- Adam Lindsey (2-3) earned the win on the mound.

The Prairie Stars will host Maryville for the second of a set of midweek non-conference games, after winning 13-6 in St. Louis last week. After the midweek game, the GLVC weekend slate resumes at Upper Iowa starting on Friday.
