UIS Men’s Track Finishes Weekend Strong at GVSU Big Meet

The UIS men's track team wrapped up a strong weekend of competition at Grand Valley State on Saturday, securing four personal bests, two season bests, and a national top-50 ranking in the distance medley relay (DMR).

Meet Highlights

Ayden Groves set a personal best, breaking the two-minute barrier in the 800m by running 1:59.53.
Gabe Martinez placed 12th in the mile with a time of 4:20.06.
Noah Tegeler (8:34.99) and Brock Loftus (8:35.34) finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in the 3,000m.
The DMR team of Balin Doud, Ryan Jones, Aidan Donohue, and Isaac Cortes clocked in at 10:22.69, earning the No. 46 spot in NCAA Division II rankings.
