The UIS women's golf team will travel to Owensboro, Ky., to compete in the Bill Crabtree Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 5, and Monday, Oct. 6. The two-round event will be played at The Pearl Club and is hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan College.
UIS will face a competitive field that includes Young Harris, Maryville (Mo.), McKendree, Kentucky Wesleyan, Thomas More, and John A. Logan.

Illinois Springfield enters the tournament following a third-place finish at the Kansas City Cup. The Stars posted rounds of 310 and 313 for a 36-hole total of 623 before the final round was canceled due to weather. McKendree claimed the team title at 614, with Maryville close behind at 615.
Elaine Grant led UIS individually, tying for second overall with a two-round score of 148. She carded a 76 in the opening round before firing an even-par 72 in round two.
