UIS Falls to No. 7 West Texas A&M in Season Opener

UIS men's basketball opened its season versus the No. 7 team in the nation on Friday afternoon in Lubbock, Tex. UIS fell by a score of 88-73, and will return to action Saturday night versys Lincoln Memorial.

Jordan Rice led the team with a career-best 27 points while three additional Prairie Stars had ten points or more.

The West Texas A&M Buffs scored first but UIS gained the lead on a Jordan Rice three-pointer. The Buffs took the lead back from the Prairie Stars with 14:45 remaining in the first half and never trailed again despite multiple comeback attempts by the UIS.
