Men’s Basketball Drops Game to Lincoln Memorial

The UIS men's basketball team fell to the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters by a score of 92-80 on Saturday night. The Prairie Stars are off to a 0-2 start, and will compete next at the Midwest Region Crossover hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 10-11. 

Game Summary
  • LMU took off to a 4-0 lead before Max Kunnert made things more even with a three-pointer
  • UIS led 44-41 at the half, with 17 of those points coming from Jordan Rice 
  • The Railsplitters were dominant over the second half, shooting 58.1% from the field and outscoring UIS 51-36 to come away with their first win of the season
  • UIS averaged above 50% from the field for the game and 50% exactly in three-point shooting
  • Jordan Rice totaled 22 points while Jayden Johnson and Jack Weber scored 17 and 16, respectively
GLVC Teams In Competition 
  • UIS competed at the D2CCA  Tip-Off Classic, while UMSL is opening its season at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic in Lakeland, Fla.
  • The remaining GLVC teams open their season on Nov. 10 or Nov. 11.
