Friday night was an intense match between the Prairie Stars and Bearcats of Southwest Baptist to kick-off Homecoming weekend. SBU started the match quickly, as they took the lead in the 8th minute from Tamerra Gantt. This lead was short-lived, as the Stars equalized in the 21st minute. Sunday's match came against top of the conference Drury, as the Panthers came into the matchup 6-0-1 in GLVC play. A tough match ensued as both teams created quality chances to score throughout. The lone goal of the game came from Madison Grandys. Her left-footed finish came from an Abby Dellamorte ball into the box that was touched down by Carolyne Mathenia as both were credited with the assist. The second half saw the Panthers have two huge chances towards the end of the match, but Allison Mirimanian preserved the shutout with two great reaction saves. The Prairie Stars outshot the Panthers 9-5 with a 5-2 advantage in shots on target.
