The University of Illinois Springfield golf program announced their men's and women's spring 2023 schedules on Tuesday. Both teams will play in four regular season events before the GLVC Championships.

Both teams will start the season at the Tunica Cup on Feb. 20-21 in Tunica, Miss. The men's team will travel to Las Vegas, Nev. the following weekend for UMSL's Las Vegas Desert Classic on March 5-7. UIS women's golf will then compete at UMSL's Emerald Coast Classic in Destin, Fla. on March 12-14.

The UIS golf teams both compete in Lexington, Ky. mid-March, then finish the regular season in St. Louis, Mo. on April 9-10. The men will play in Quincy's Hawks Invitational, while the women take on the UMSL Spring Invitational.

UIS women's golf won the Flyer Invitational and Dan Salisbury Memorial in the fall season. The Prairie Stars were also the runner-up at Drury's Lady Panther Invitational. UIS looks to improve on their GLVC Championship finish this spring after finishing 12th in 2022.

Men's golf finished 12th in the GLVC in 2022. The Prairie Stars finished 6th in McKendree's Bearcat Dual Gender in the fall. 

The GLVC Championships will take place at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Mo., just outside of Kansas City. The men compete first on April 16-18, and the women follow on April 21-23.
