The University of Illinois Springfield track and field team collected two all-GLVC honors and one GLVC Individual Championship this week in Bolivar, Mo. at the 2022 GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Noah McIntyre set a new GLVC record in his winning performance in the 1,500m. He finished with a time of 3:45.457, winning the race by three seconds and beating the old record by around that same mark. He was in the lead group with one lap remaining but ran a 58.737 to put his competitors behind him.

Wyatt McIntyre also earned all-conference honors after being runner-up in the 10,000m with a time of 30:03.55, which was better than the previous GLVC record at that distance. He also came in sixth in the 5,000m.

UIS had two other scorers at the meet.
Ryan Jones finished eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase, and
Alexa Thomsen was eighth in the women's 10,000m.

The men's team finished with 22 points, and finished 11th overall. The women's team collected one point and was 13th as a squad.
