The University of Illinois Springfield track and field program was in St. Charles, Mo. over the weekend for the Dick Cochran Invite. The men's team finished fifth at the event, while the women's squad was eighth.

UIS men's team was led by its 10,000m lineup.
Wyatt McIntyre won the race with a time of 33:00.26.
Trevor Dunkel was third, just ahead of
Ryan Stark.

Other point scorers for the Prairie Stars men's team included
Jake Schwartz finishing second in the 1,500m, and
Ryan Jones was sixth in that event.
Noah McIntyre was fourth in the 800m, and
Chris Cherry and
Gabe Martinez also scored at that distance. In the 5000m,
Spencer Mauch was 7th.

The women's team had a pair of runner-up showings.
Breanna Chandler was second in the 800m, and
Alexa Thomsen was silver in the 5,000m.

Three runners had fourth-place showings, including
Jade Anderson in the 3,000m steeplechase,
Gloria Esarco in the 800m, and
Emma West in the 5,000m.

UIS will be in action next Saturday at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational.
