The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team finished 12th at the GLVC Championships this weekend in Waterloo, Ill.

Madison DeRousse led the Prairie Stars. She was consistent throughout the tournament with rounds of 82, 81, and 81. Her 244 total placed her 13th in the 62-person field. DeRousse was sixth among the golfers with 29 pars, and she was also sixth with a 4.47 scoring average on par-four holes.

Isabel Segal was second on the team with a total of 261. She had a low round of 83 in the first round for the tournament.
Sara Prieto finished with a 268, including an 86 in the second round.
Kathryn Gleason was one shot behind Prieto, including an 85 for the first 18 holes.

As a team, UIS had rounds of 342, 345, and 355 for a total of 1,042. It was within 11 shots of ninth-place at the competition, despite playing with just four players.
