The University of Illinois Springfield men's track program started its spring season this weekend at the Raleigh Relays. The Prairie Stars had three athletes at the NCAA Division I meet.

Blake Jones hit a NCAA standard in the 10,000m. He finished in a time of 29:01.09, and finished 21st among the 107 runners that completed the event. That mark broke his own school record by over 13 seconds.

In the 1,500m,
Noah McIntyre recorded a time of 3:52.91, and
Chris Cherry had a mark of 3:58.01.

Both track and field teams will be in action next Friday at the WashU Distance Carnival.
