The University of Illinois Springfield track and field teams finished action on Sunday at the 2022 GLVC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The men's team came in 10th at the competition, while the women's squad was 11th.
 
The men's program recorded 18 points during the two-day event. Eight of those points came from the distance medley relay team of Chris Cherry, Ryan Jones, Noah McIntyre, and Blake Jones. The relay came in second in a time of 10:01.18. All of those runners earned all-GLVC honors, as did McIntyre in the mile run after he finished third in a time of 4:14.15. Also in that event, Cherry placed fifth overall after completing the race 4:16.57.
 
The women's team recorded four points. Individually, Breanna Chandler was seventh in the 800m. She had a time of 2:21.17. The other points came from the distance medley relay team which finished seventh with a mark of 13:07.71.
