The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team picked up a road victory on Thursday night in Rolla, Mo. The Prairie Stars defeated Missouri S&T by a 76-58 score.

UIS turned a close first half into one of its largest GLVC wins of the season in the final 20 minutes of play.
Jordan Rice hit a late three-pointer to give the Prairie Stars a 37-32 halftime lead. The Prairie Stars then outscored the Miners 11-1 over the first five minutes to take control of the ballgame.

The Prairie Stars shot 54.4 percent from the field, including 10-of-24 from three-point range. Â UIS also turned the ball over just eight times. Defensively, they held Missouri S&T to under 40 percent shooting. UIS outrebounded Missouri S&T as well by seven.

Four players scored in double-figures for UIS, led by
Chase Robinson with 19. Robinson was eight-of-16 from the field. He was also the team leader with seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Chris Hamil had 15 points and
Jordan Rice added 11. Both of those players made three three-pointers.
Jack Weber collected 14 points on seven-of-nine shooting.
Evan Altman was the top scorer off the bench, having eight points on the night, and he also led the team with a +24 plus/minus.

UIS improved to 12-15 on the year and 7-12 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are at Drury on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale.
