The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will play a rare Monday afternoon game this week. The Prairie Stars will take on Maryville, with the two teams tipping off at 1 p.m.
UIS will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak, including a 65-51 loss to Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday. The Prairie Stars are now 7-5 overall and 2-4 in GLVC action.
Maryville has similiar records to UIS with a 6-5 overall record and a 2-3 conference mark. The Saints fell to Truman State on Saturday by a 79-57 margin.
Maryville ranks third in the GLVC with a .385 field-goal percentage defense. UIS looks to get back to its early-season shooting form, when it shot over 40 percent six times in a seven-game stretch.
