The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team is unbeaten after four games for the second time in program history. It will look to set a school record by being unbeaten for the first five games of the year when it hosts Missouri-St. Louis on Friday at Lee Field in Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Stars will also face Lindenwood on the road on Sunday.
Â
After opening up the season with a tie at Purdue Northwest, UIS has rolled off three straight wins. Included in that stretch was a 1-0 victory over Maryville in the conference opener on Sunday.
Â
UIS has been led by its defense, which is fourth in the league with a 0.49 Goals Against Average (GAA). The Prairie Stars recorded two shutouts last week, which allowed
Allison Mirimanian to be named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.
Â
Offensively, the team is in the upper half of the GLVC with 1.50 goals a game. It also leads with 17.25 shots a game.
Â
Mirimanian is second in the league with a .905 save percentage and fourth with 4.75 saves per game. Offensively,
Madison Grandys and
Sierra Cenek are both in the top-10 in the league with two games, and
Claire Sever is tied for first with two assists.

Each individual GLVC school will determine their own attendance policy for men's soccer. Please check the policies of the home teams if interested in attending a contest. (UIS | Lindenwood)
