The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team returns to the pitch this week for two games. The Prairie Stars have a neutral-site game on Friday in Collinsville, Ill. versus Drury. UIS will then celebrate Senior Day on Sunday against Missouri S&T in a game that will be played at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield.

UIS is currently 2-2-3 on the season. The Prairie Stars are ninth in the GLVC standings with 1.29 points per game. McKendree currently holds the final GLVC Tournament spot with 1.42 points per game. UIS will be playing for the first time since March 21, when it fell to Quincy by a 2-1 score.

The Prairie Stars enter play this week ranked second in the GLVC with a 0.52 GAA. Goalie
Pijus Petkevicius leads the conference with a .862 save percentage, and is second with a 0.52 GAA.

UIS will celebrate four seniors prior to Sunday's contest in
Dan Mahony,
Javier Milla,
Quentin Reese, and
Jay Younger. Mahony has played in 49 games in his UIS career and has two goals and three assists. Milla has appeared in 61 contests as a Prairie Star, and has seven goals and three assists. Reese has 53 games played at UIS, and has seven goals and one assist. Younger has been at UIS for two years, and has 15 appearances and one goal.
