The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has named University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball player James Kelley as the conference's Player of the Week. Kelley earns the honor in just his second week of action as a Prairie Star.
 
In the win over Eureka last week, Kelley had a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Both of those marks led the team. He shot nine-of-13 from the field and four-of-five from the free-throw line. He also collected one block and one steal. Kelley had a +34 plus/minus in just 24:20 of playing time, which was the best mark on the team.
 
Kelley leads the team with 49 points, 21 rebounds, and four blocks on the season. He is shooting 60 percent from the field with 18 makes on 30 attempts.
