The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team is currently trending towards a GLVC Tournament spot, but needs to continue to collect victories in the second half of its season. The Prairie Stars will have their next shot at three points on Friday when they host Quincy at Kiwanis Stadium.

UIS is currently 5-3-1 on the season, and 3-3-0 in conference play. The Prairie Stars are looking to snap a short losing streak of two games, including a 1-0 setback against Lewis on Friday night.

Every UIS conference game this year has been decided by just a single goal, and the Prairie Stars have only given up more than one goal in two games in 2021. It is one of eight programs in the GLVC with a GAA under 1.00. Offensively, UIS has scored 12 times in nine games, which ranks sixth in the league.

Sierra Cenek currently ranks third in the GLVC with four goals, and is seventh with nine points.
Allison Hackett is second on the team with points after recording two goals and two assists.
Allison Mirimanian has 47 saves, a .839 save percentage, and a 0.97 GAA this year, all marks in the top-10 in the conference.

Quincy will come to Springfield on Friday with a 3-6-0 overall record, and a 2-5-0 GLVC mark. The team has lost four straight, including a 3-2 setback against Southern Indiana on Sunday. The Hawks have been competitive this season, with every loss being by just a single goal.

Quincy is one of the top scoring teams in the GLVC, ranking fifth with 1.44 goals a game. Defensively, the team is allowing 1.60 goals a game.

Lauren Crane leads the Hawks' offense with four goals and two assists. Aliyah Rottger has two goals and three assists on the year. Olivia Kindt has been the team's top goalkeeper with a 1.38 GAA and a .813 save percentage.

QU has not lost to UIS since the 2016 season, going 4-0-1 in that span. The Prairie Stars fell 3-0 last season in Quincy.
