The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team sent a handful of individuals to the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational over the weekend in Owensboro, Ky.
 
Madison DeRousse led the Prairie Stars by finishing third overall. She was tied for the tournament lead after 18 holes after she shot a 78 on Saturday. She followed with an 80 on Sunday, which left her three shots behind the leader.
 
Isabel Segal tied for 20th at the event. She had a 176 after rounds of 90 and 86. Sara Prieto shot an 81 and was in the top-10 after 18 holes, but withdrew from Sunday's round.
 
The event was the final competition for the UIS women's golf team in its fall season.
