The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team could not get a season sweep over the Maryville Saints. The Prairie Stars fell on the road on Saturday by a 75-45 margin.

UIS came out cold offensively and it trailed 34-14 at halftime. The Prairie Stars got their offense going a little in the second half, but Maryville also improved in that area as the Saints pulled away.

Maryville shot 45.9 percent from the field in the game and made seven three-pointers. UIS shot 25.5 percent from the field and made five from behind the arc. One bright spot for UIS was a perfect 14-of-14 from the free-throw line. Maryville also had +12 rebounding margin and +5 turnover margin.

Ellie Mitchell shot five-of-eight from the field and had 10 points. She also led the team with six rebounds.
Malea Jackson had two three-pointers and finished with a team-high 12 points.
Lauren Ladowski paced the squad with three assists and three steals.
Olivia Travis led the bench scoring with six on three-of-five shooting.

UIS falls to 3-2 on the season. The Prairie Stars will be home next Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m. game versus Lewis.
