The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team lost to Lewis on Tuesday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars fell by a 78-73 score.

UIS trailed by just one at halftime, and took the lead early in the second half. Lewis answered with a 7-0 run though and never trailed again. The Prairie Stars cut the lead to three with 2:48 remaining in the game, but Lewis made 10 free throws after that point to close out the game.

UIS won the rebounding battle by 10 boards, and had a 27-12 advantage in points off turnovers. Lewis made 27-of-34 free throws though, compared to just 12-of-20 for the Prairie Stars.

Makenna Fee had a team-high 16 points for UIS after making seven-of-eight from the field.
Ellie Mitchell and
Lauren Ladowski both finished with 14 points and a team-high four assists. Ladowski was one rebound shy of a double-double after a team-high nine, and also led the team with four steals.
Liz Uhl had seven points, three assists, and three steals, and led the team with a +9 plus/minus. Fee also had a positive plus/minus with a +6.

UIS falls to 3-3 on the season. The Prairie Stars will face Lewis again on Thursday night in Romeoville, Ill.
