The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team fell on the road on Thursday night at the University of Indianapolis. The Prairie Stars were on the short end of a 55-43 decision.

The night started good as UIS didn't allow a point for nearly six minutes, and it grabbed an early 8-0 lead. The Prairie Stars offense went cold though, and Indianapolis went on a 13-0 run, and the Greyhounds led at half by an 18-16 margin.

Indianapolis' offense woke up before UIS's in the second half, which proved to be the difference. The Greyhounds scored 14 points before the first media timeout, which gave them a nine-point lead. UIS eventually got within five at 43-38 with 6:40 left, but the Prairie Stars didn't have another run left in them.

UIS had a good night defensively, holding Indianapolis to 41.7 percent shooting and winning the turnover battle by two. The Prairie Stars though shot just 28.6 percent on offense, including 20.7 percent from three-point range.

Keymonta Johnson led the Prairie Stars with 15 points and eight rebounds. He was six-of-12 from the field and also had team-highs with three assists and two blocks.
Chase Robinson finished with 14 points, and led the team with three steals.
Jack Weber grabbed eight rebounds and three assists, and had two steals.

UIS is now 6-7 on the year. The Prairie Stars will travel to Lewis on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
