The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team has one of the toughest schedules in NCAA Division II remaining this season. That starts this week with two games against nationally-ranked teams, including Thursday's home game against No. 8 Bellarmine.
UIS is in a stretch in which it is playing three teams in a four-game span that are nationally-ranked. The only team that was not ranked was Lindenwood, which the Prairie Stars defeated by a 95-88 score on Saturday.
Bellarmine snapped a two-game losing streak, its only two losses of the year, on Saturday with a 78-65 win over Drury.
UIS fell to Bellarmine by a 81-57 score earlier this year. Bellarmine outscored UIS 43-23 in the first half, before the two teams were mostly even in the second half.
