Women's Soccer Looks To Extend GLVC Undefeated Streak On Road Trip

The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team looks to continue its great start to the GLVC season with two road games this weekend. The Prairie Stars travel to Missouri S&T on Friday, followed by a Sunday contest at Maryville.
 
UIS (4-2-0, 3-0-0)
UIS is off to its best GLVC season in program history after winning its first three conference games. Last weekend, the Prairie Stars defeated Lindenwood 1-0 in overtime at Kiwanis Stadium, before a 2-1 victory at Missouri-St. Louis. UIS was on a four-game winning streak overall before a setback at No. 4 Grand Valley State on Tuesday night.
 
In conference play, UIS is one of three conference teams that are still undefeated. The Prairie Stars have allowed just one goal in those games, tying for the GLVC lead. They are fifth in conference-only games with 1.33 goals a contest.
 
Maggie Juhlin leads the team this season with four goals and nine points. Lauren Griffin has a team-high three assists. Both Juhlin and Erin Bolskar have a pair of game-winning goals. Bailey Cross has been the team's top goalie, having a 0.99 GAA and a .800 save percentage.
 
About Missouri S&T (1-3-1, 1-2-0)
Missouri S&T enters play this week with a 1-3-1 overall record, and a 1-2 GLVC mark. Last weekend, the Miners defeated Southwest Baptist in overtime, before falling late in a matchup with Drury.
 
Missouri S&T is averaging 1.00 goals a game, and it is allowing 1.60 goals a contest. Kayla Foster is the top offensive threat with two goals and one assist. Rylee Hanes has started the last two games in goal, and on the season has a 1.11 GAA and a .750 save percentage.

Maryville is undefeated in four overall games this year. In its most recent games, Maryville defeated Drury by a 5-0 score and Southwest Baptist by a 3-1 margin.
 
Maryville has allowed just one goal in its first four games, and it has scored 11 times. Alex Johnson has four goals and one assist on the year. Elyse Waterhouse has a 0.29 GAA and a .900 save percentage in goal on the year.
