Box Score The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team competed at the ITA Regional Championships over the weekend in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Maegan Flight had the top singles performance after she competed in the "A" bracket. She lost her first round match, but won three straight in the consolation bracket. Flight was in the consolation semifinals before the weather caused the cancellation of the rest of that competition.

Ashley Long, playing in the "A" bracket, and
Lucia Pineiro, competing in the "B" tournament, each went 1-1 after winning their first-round match, and falling in the second round.
Jasmine Cortez went 1-2, with her one win coming in the first consolation match.

In "A" doubles, Long and Pineiro went 1-1. They won their first consolation match, before withdrawing from the rest of the vent. In the "B" doubles, Flight and Cortez reached the "B" quarterfinals, and finished with a 2-1 record.

UIS will be in action again on Oct. 11-12 at the EIU Panther Invitational.
