Women's Golf Wins Dan Salisbury Memorial For Third Time In Last Four Years

The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team won the Dan Salisbury Memorial on Sunday in Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Stars have now won their fall invitational for the third time in the last four years.
 
UIS shot a team score of 660 at The Rail Golf Course, with a 328 on Saturday and 332 on Sunday. It won the event by six shots over Rockhurst, and also defeated two other GLVC teams in Maryville and Quincy.
 
The team's top three returners all had top-10 finishes. Jennifer Queller tied for fourth with a 163, Ocean Pangan was sixth with a 164, and Paula Valdivia was ninth with a 166. Pangan shot a 77 in the first round, the team's lowest round at the event. Queller also had a sub-80 round at the tournament.
 
Bri Harwell and Katie Malcom rounded out the team's scoring. Harwell shot a 170, and Malcom carded a 175. Ashley Miller and Eleni Monroe competed as individuals. Miller was seventh with a 165, and Monroe shot a 186.
 
UIS will be in action again at the William Beall Fall Classic on Oct. 7-8 in Findlay, Ohio.
