The University of Illinois Springfield baseball team finished off a three-game sweep over Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon at the UIS Baseball Field with a 3-2 win over the Greyhounds.
Â
UIS received a great start from

Â
The Prairie Stars had a 3-1 lead after he departed the game. UIS broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth when
Chris Monroe had a two-out double down the left-field line that scored
John Sechen. One inning later,

Â
Nick Alvarado pitched the final two innings for the Prairie Stars. A leadoff walk and a one-out double in the eighth got Indianapolis within one run. Two straight outs though stranded the tying run at third. In the ninth, Alvarado got the Greyhounds one-two-three for his fourth save of the year.
Â
UIS got its first run in the third inning when Abfall singled to lead off the inning, and advanced to second on an error after his hit. He advanced to third on a balk, and then scored on a Sechen groundout.
Â
The game was Senior Day for UIS as the Prairie Stars celebrated their 11 seniors who are
