Nethra Thenappan captured the No. 5 match by scores of 6-4, 6-3. The No. 6 contest was won by
Kaitlyn Thornhill by a 6-2, 6-2 margin. The closest that the Prairie Stars came to winning a fourth singles match was at No. 3 where UIS fell 6-4, 6-4.

The loss dropped the 48th-ranked Prairie Stars to 12-4 on the season. UIS will conclude its regular season on Saturday at Bellarmine.
