The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will face William Jewell on Saturday in a 3 p.m. game in Liberty, Mo.

The Prairie Stars are looking for a much needed win as they look to earn a bid to the eight-team GLVC Tournament. UIS is currently tied for seventh in the standings, and in the point ranking system. William Jewell is tied for 11th in the conference, and it is 12th in the point rankings.

Last Thursday, UIS fell to Rockhurst by an 83-73 margin. William Jewell lost its fourth straight with a 105-93 setback against McKendree.

The series between UIS and William Jewell has been close, with the Prairie Stars having a 5-4 edge, including a 2-2 mark in games played in Liberty.
