Men's Basketball Heads To Kansas City Area For Two Games, Starting With Rockhurst On Thursday

The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team starts a stretch of five straight road games this week. The first trip will be to Rockhurst on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game.

The game is a big one for both teams, as UIS and Rockhurst are both in the race for a GLVC Tournament spot. The Prairie Stars are currently one game ahead in the standings. In the point rating system, UIS is tied for sixth, while Rockhurst is ninth.

Last time out, UIS dropped an 86-76 decision to Indianapolis, while Rockhurst earned a 70-67 road win at Maryville.

Rockhurst holds a narrow lead in the all-time series by a 6-5 margin, including wins in the last three games. UIS is 2-3 all-time in games played in Kansas City, Mo.
