The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team faces one of the biggest challenges of the season on Thursday night when it travels to Bellarmine for a 7:30 p.m. game.
The Knights, who were ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II for much of the year, are currently 18-3 on the season, including a 10-1 mark on their home court. UIS will enter the game with a 13-10 overall record.
In conference action, Bellarmine, who is currently ranked ninth nationally, is tied for first in the standings with a 9-3 record. UIS is ninth with a 6-7 mark.
UIS is looking for its first win all-time against Bellarmine. One of the closest games came in 2016 when Bellarmine left Springfield with a 67-63 win.
