The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team wrapped up its fall season at the UIS Island Getaway in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The Prairie Stars were fifth out of six teams in the competition.
 
UIS was tied for third after shooting a 323 during Monday's first round. The Prairie Stars slipped back two spots though on Tuesday after shooting a 343 on Tuesday for a final score of 666.
 
Ocean Pangan had a top-10 finish at the event, shooting a 155 and tying for seventh. She shot a two-over 74 on Monday, tying for the third-best single-round at the tournament. She concluded the tournament with an 81 on Tuesday.
 
Paula Valdivia was 13th with a score of 165, including a low round of 80 in the first 18 holes. Jennifer Queller and Bri Harwell tied for 19th with a 174. Ashley Miller rounded out the team with a 181. Katie Malcolm competed as an individual and finished with a two-day score of 176.
