The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will host its biggest rival on Saturday at TRAC as it takes on McKendree at 3 p.m.

The Prairie Stars and Bearcats have met 28 times, first as NAIA conference opponents and now as members of the GLVC. McKendree has a narrow series lead, but UIS leads 7-4 in GLVC contests.

Saturday's tilt could be one of the biggest for UIS in the series history. The Prairie Stars are riding a seven-game winning streak, their second longest in program history, and are off to their best GLVC start in program history with two road wins to start the conference schedule.

Last season, the two teams split their season series, with both programs winning on the road.
