SPRINGFIELD, IL --- The Prairie Stars (5-5) took on Missouri-St. Louis (6-0) in a non-conference match, and fell 9-0 to the undefeated Tritons. UIS dropped their third consecutive match and first since returning home from a weeklong trip to Tennessee.

UIS had little luck against the Tritons, falling in all three doubles matches by scores of 8-4, 8-2, and 8-4. Jane Carter and Sharon Danquah fell in the top spot while Kena Bere and Kaitlyn Thornhill took on the second slot. Maegan Flight and Danielle Mendoza rounded out the UIS doubles partners.

In singles, UIS fell in straight sets across the board. Thornhill and Flight each won four games in a set but were unable to push it to a third set.

UIS will return home on next Saturday to take on Southern Indiana in their GLVC opener.
