EVANSVILLE, IN --- The Prairie Stars (8-17, 3-13) had no answer for the 14
th ranked Screaming Eagles (24-2, 14-2) as they fell on the road 90-57.
Paxton Harmon was the lone Prairie Star to reach double-figures, scoring 12 points on a night in which all 10 Prairie Stars scored.
In the opening half, the Prairie Stars were dead even with the Screaming Eagles after nearly 12 minutes of play, tied at 18 after a layup from
Eddie Longmeyer. Southern Indiana held a 22-20 advantage with 5:50 to play in the half and used a 21-4 run to break the game open.
UIS scored just two points in the final 5:05, coming on two free throws from Harmon in the final second. Southern Indiana hit five consecutive shots down the stretch, including four from deep to aid the run.
The Prairie Stars were kept at bay in the second half, scoring 33 points, unable to put together any type of run.
Harmon scored a team-high 12 points, followed by seven from
Logan Gonce and Longmeyer. Gonce added five rebounds and two assists to his stat sheet in 25 minutes.
Brandon Van Sant --- playing in his first game since January 16
th --- had six points, five rebounds, and a steal.
Vince Walker and
Lijah Donnelly each tallied five points on 2-of-6 from the field.

st to the Knights, which opened up conference play.
