SPRINGFIELD, MO --- The Prairie Stars were unable to sweep their Missouri road trip, falling to the Drury Panthers 82-61. This comes after Illinois Springfield beat Missouri S&T on the road on Thursday. UIS was led by senior forward
Paxton Harmon who scored 20 points --- his fifth 20 points game this season.
Four Prairie Stars reached double-figures on the night, none more efficiently than
Logan Gonce who was 3-for-3 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line for 12 points while dishing four assists, forcing two turnovers while committing none on his own. The sophomore point guard now owns a 1.88 assist/turnover ratio on the season.
The Prairie Stars scored just 20 points in the first half and trailed by 13 at the break. Harmon scored eight of his 20 points in the first half before shooting 4-of-8 from the field in the second half, including two from deep.
Illinois Springfield will now travel to #15 Southern Indiana and #7 Bellarmine for their final road trip of the season before concluding the regular season at home on Thursday, February 23
rd against McKendree. UIS fell to Bellarmine earlier in the season by just four points in the GLVC opener.
