Box Score SPRINGFIELD, IL --- The Prairie Stars enter the weekend having won two of their last three games, all of which were Great Lakes Valley Conference contests. Coming home after a three-game road trip, UIS will look to continue its current hot streak as they take on Saint Joseph's (8-9, 2-5) and the University of Indianapolis (8-7, 5-2).
SETTING THE SCENE
Illinois Springfield (7-9, 2-5) is coming off two road wins in the past week, defeating William Jewell 89-85 before taking down McKendree 92-89. All three teams are log jammed in the middle of the GLVC east division, as this weekend proves to play a major role in solidifying teams in the driver's seat for the home stretch.
Saint Joseph's enters the weekend coming off a 98-75 defeat to the hands of UIndy at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis. They have dropped three of their last five GLVC games since the New Year and are in the middle of a three-game road swing before going home for seven of their final nine games.
UIndy owns the second longest win streak in the GLVC behind only UW-Parkside who is currently riding a 15-game streak. The Greyhounds have won five straight games, all in conference play, beating UMSL and Maryville on the road before taking down Missouri S&T, Drury, and Saint Joseph's at home.
