Live Stats SPRINGFIELD, IL -Â The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team kicks off the regular season this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa at the Des Moines Men's Soccer Jamoboree. The Prairie Stars take on South Dakota School of Mines on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the University of Mary (ND) on Sunday at 12 p.m.
UIS wrapped up its preseason last weekend with a 2-1 overtime win against Millikin.
Last season, the Prairie Stars defeated SD School of Mines 2-1 in overtime.
Jack Coombes scored his first goal as a Prairie Star as UIS came back in the second to tie and eventually win in overtime.Â
This is the first meeting between the University of Mary and the Prairie Stars.
