SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield freshman
Jane Carter snuck a win away from McKendree as the Bearcats grabbed an 8-1 victory on Friday afternoon at Washington Park.
McKendree swept through doubles play with little trouble for a 3-0 lead. Carter was the lone Star to pull out a win after battling in the first set to a 6-4 win, the New Zealand native then shut out Sammy Siegel for the victory.

Janasha Prabhu battled in the No. 4 singles spot to three sets, but she could not close out the win against Anna Mernick.
UIS has a bust weekend as it takes on Southern Indiana on Saturday and Quincy on Sunday. Sunday's match will be at Chatham Glenwood.
