SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team looks to snap its seven-game skid as McKendree comes to town on Monday. This is the lone home game in series of five games.

UIS is ranked 24th in the nation in Defensive Rebounds per game and second in GLVC with 27.7 per contest.

DAVI LEADING THE WAY
In conference contests, DAVI AUSTIN is leading the team with 11.6 points per game. He has had game-high points in two conference contests.

STILL SEARCHING
UIS is still looking for its first conference victory. The Stars were 5-13 last season in the GLVC.

CONSISTENT-THREE
Illinois Springfield has hit at least one three-pointer in 306 straight games dating back to Feb. 21, 2004 when the Prairie Stars went 0-for-9 from long range.

SECOND HALF STRUGGLES
UIS is scoring just 26 points in the second half against conference opponents. They are also struggling from long range in the second stanza shooting at a 27 percent clip.

SCOUTING McKENDREE
The Bearcats have only two games in their last seven, but only one has come from conference play.McKendree ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage with a team clip of 49.7 percent. Matt Holmes is a do-it-all guy as he is averaing 12.3 points adn 8.0 rebounds per game and shooting at a 57.0 percent clip, while Arthur Williams leads the team from the field, shooting at a 58.2 percent clip. Head coach Harry Statham is the all-time wins leader in men's college basketball history. In his 49th season, he has led the Bearcats to more than 1,000 victories.
