Iwe was recognized as the lone senior in the 2014 men's soccer program in a pregame ceremony.
It didn't take long for the Prairie Stars to take the lead. After a Southern Indiana foul in the ninth minute, Iwe stepped up a delivered a free kick that found the top corner of the net to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. It was his second goal of the season and the team's only shot of the half.
Freshman goalkeeper
Kyle Hamilton (Bethalto, Ill.) made one of his five saves on the day in the 16th minute to deny USI the equalizer. The Screaming Eagles outshot the Prairie Stars six to one in the first period but both teams only had one shot on goal.
In the second period, UIS wasted no time in adding to its advantage. In the 52nd minute, freshman
Ismael Serratos got around USI defender Lee Gualano and was brought down in the box, winning a penalty kick. Iwe stepped up to the spot and fired a shot into the top right corner again, doubling the UIS lead and tallying his third goal of the season.

The visitors turned up the pressure in the final 35 minutes, forcing Hamilton to make three saves before eventually finding the target on a header by Trevor Skeith to make the score 2-1. UIS was able to run out the final minutes of the game, capturing their third conference win of the season.
