Adam Lanter is in his first season on the sidelines for the Illinois Springfield men’s soccer program.

As a member of the UIS coaching staff Lanter will assist with daily practices.

Lanter played his collegiate soccer at SIU Edwardsville and was a member of a pair of Cougar squads that advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division II Soccer Tournament. He scored eight career goals at SIUE (including four game-winners) and dished out 10 assists.

Lanter was also a standout in the classroom earning mention on the Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Academic Team and a was a member of the school’s Dean’s List.

After completing his playing career, Lanter received his master’s degree from SIUE and coached club soccer in St. Louis while earning his USSF National D Coaching License.
