Joel Plummer enters his third season on the UIS Basketball staff under head coach Bill Walker.
His primary responsibilities include film, opponent scouting, player development, and recruiting. He is also responsible for defensive schemes and adjustments.Â
Born and raised in Paola, Kan., Plummer comes from a coaching background as his father, a coach for 35 years, coached him growing up.

He was a student manager with the football team at Kansas University from 2010-12 and then served as a graduate assistant equipment manager with the men's basketball team at Kansas State University from 2012-14, working for Coach Bruce Weber and his staff. While at K-State, he was a part of two NCAA Tournament teams and also part of a Big12 Championship team in 2012-13.
Plummer graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Mangement and then went on to receive his Master's Degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University.
