A three-time all-county and all-conference selection … a two-time all-area pick … as a senior, batted .478 with a .533 on-base percentage … collected 55 hits, 21 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 49 RBI, and 30 runs … as a senior, helped his team win conference, regional, and sectional championships … also an all-county, all-conference, and all-area pick in football and wrestling … named to his high school’s All-Decade team.
