Appeared in 10 tournaments and played in 22 rounds… Finished with an average score of 75.27… Had three top-10 finishes… had one round in the 60s at the Motor City Invite (78-67—145) winning out of 74… Had five rounds of par or better… Finished fourth in the Dan Salisbury Memorial Collegiate (73-75—148)… Finished T-4 at Hurricane Invitational (72-72—144)… T-23 of 69 at GLVC Championship (75-77-78—230)

BEFORE UIS
Heckele spent two years with the NCAA Division III’s Brevard College men’s golf team. He shot an average of 74.3 during the fall of 2016 and carded an average of 75.6 throughout his sophomore year.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Heckele compete in golf at Gymnasium am Rosenberg. He finished as the German national U18 champion in 2013. Heckele competed in the British Boys Amateur Championship in 2012 and 2013. He earned a T-4 finish at the Luxembourg Amateur Championship and captured a T-15 finish in the 2014 German National Men’s Championship.
 
CLUB
Heckele competed for the Golf Club Domane Niederreutin.
 
PERSONAL
Heckele is pursuing majors in Business and Organizational Leadership. He is the son of Robert Heckele and Marion Betz Heckele.

I chose UIS because it is a well-known school where I can compete in Division II golf while improving my academic and English skills.
