Biography

BEFORE UIS
Corona spent two years with the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College soccer program. During the 2014 season, Cincinnati State closed out the year ranked No. 16 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I poll with a 14-5-1 record. Corona dished out an assist during his freshman campaign.

As a sophomore, Corona produced 21 points of seven goals and seven assists. The Surge compiled a 13-4-3 record and ended the season receiving votes in the national poll.

HIGH SCHOOL
Corona played three seasons for the Lakota West High School. As a sophomore, Corona helped lead Lakota West to the 2011 Greater Miami Conference (GMC) title. The Firebirds won an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division I district title and advanced to the state quarterfinals. Lakota West concluded the season with a 16-4-2 record.

During the 2012 season, the Firebirds earned another Division I district title and reached the state quarterfinals. Lakota West compiled a 17-2-2 record throughout the year.

During the 2013 season, Lakota West secured another Division I district title. The Firebirds advanced to the state quarterfinals, before falling to eventual state champion, Mason High School, in a 1-0 overtime loss. The Firebirds put together a 16-3-2 record. Corona concluded his prep career with 54 points behind 20 goals and 14 assists.

Corona was a member of the FOSC Storm.

PERSONAL
Corona is the son of Jose Corona and Gloria Luna. He has three siblings, Gloria, Erik and Francisco.
