"Great team win today," said head coach
Scott Myers. "We were able to accomplish most of our goals, which is exciting for this group as they continue to form their identity and push forward. We saw a great effort from our bench in bringing the energy in the second half. Going into halftime with a two-goal lead was not where we wanted to be, but it was huge for Mallory to come out so early with a great goal. Then, to follow that up, was Autumn's second and third goals of the season in a short time which were massive for us. I am really proud of the team's effort today in translating what we worked on in training and brining it to the field. We face a quick turnaround as we play again in 48 hours against an organized William Jewell side on the road."
Up next, the Prairie Stars visit William Jewell on Friday, Oct. 2, at 5 p.m.Â
