The UIS Prairie Stars continue their fall season with a week highlighted by home soccer matches against Upper Iowa on Wednesday. 

Monday, Sept. 28

All Day — Women's Golf at Grand Valley State
UIS Women's Golf finished up its trip to Allendale, Mich. on Monday morning. The Prairie Stars finished ninth of 16 teams.

All Day — Men's Golf at Midwest Collegiate
UIS Men's Golf heads to Peru, Ind., for the Midwest Collegiate. The event, hosted by UMSL, will feature several GLVC opponents. The Prairie Stars recently competed at the UIndy Invitational, where they placed 10th as a team. The Stars look to build on that result this week in the two-day, 54-hole event.

Tuesday, Sept. 29

All Day — Men's Golf at Midwest Collegiate
Action continues at the Midwest Collegiate.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

2 p.m. — Women's Soccer vs. Upper Iowa
UIS (4-4-1, 2-3-1 GLVC) returns home after a run on the road as it hosts Upper Iowa (0-6-3, 0-6-1 GLVC) this week. The Prairie Stars' run of away games ended with a 4-1 defeat against UMSL, while the Upper Iowa Peacocks lost 3-0 last time out against Rockhurst. The Stars lead the head-to-head series 2-1. 

4:30 p.m. — Men's Soccer vs. Upper Iowa
UIS (1-7-1, 1-4-1 GLVC) returns to the Kiwanis following its first victory of the season. The Prairie Stars look to take this win and use it to turn their slow start to the season around as they host Upper Iowa (1-5-3, 1-5-1 GLVC) this week. The Peacocks tied 3-3 with Rockhurst last time out. The Stars lead the head-to-head series 3-2, picking up a 2-1 victory the last time these two teams faced off. 

Soccer Promotion — Kick the Stigma
This week's soccer matches will feature Kick the Stigma, a mental health awareness initiative focused on starting conversations, reducing stigma and reminding our community that mental health matters.

Friday, Oct. 2

5 p.m. — Women's Soccer at William Jewell
UIS (4-4-1, 2-3-1 GLVC) returns to action for its second match of the week and faces William Jewell (0-8-1, 0-5-1 GLVC). The Prairie Stars face Upper Iowa earlier in the week, while the Cardinals host Lincoln (3-5, 2-4 GLVC). UIS has not lost this matchup since 2019, winning four of the last six matchups between the teams.

6 p.m. — Volleyball at Rockhurst
Following its weekend at home, UIS Volleyball (4-10, 1-3 GLVC) gets back on the road in Kansas City, Mo., to face Rockhurst (9-4, 3-0 GLVC). In their home-opening weekend at TRAC, UIS beat McKendree but lost to UMSL. Meanwhile, Rockhurst is on an eight-match winning streak, most recently beating Drury.

7:30 p.m. — Men's Soccer at William Jewell
UIS (1-7-1, 1-4-1 GLVC) heads to Liberty, Mo., to face William Jewell (2-6-1, 1-4-1 GLVC). UIS is set to face Upper Iowa earlier in the week at home, while the Cardinals face Lincoln. The head-to-head series is 8-6-2 in favor of the Prairie Stars.

Saturday, Oct. 3

12 p.m. — Softball vs. Jefferson College (Scrimmage)
UIS will scrimmage Jefferson College at Scheels Sports Park as part of its fall schedule.

3 p.m. — Volleyball at William Jewell
UIS (4-10, 1-3 GLVC) heads to Liberty, Mo., to play William Jewell (1-13, 0-3 GLVC). The Stars are heading to the Cardinals after facing Rockhurst, while the Cardinals play Quincy. UIS leads the head-to-head series 9-8, having won the last three times out against the Cardinals. 

Sunday, Oct. 4

All Day — Women's Golf at Coyote Creek Classic
UIS Women's Golf heads to Bartonville, Ill., for the Coyote Creek Classic hosted by Bradley. 

All Day — Men's Golf at Coyote Creek Classic
UIS travels to Bartonville, Ill., to compete in the Coyote Creek Classic hosted by Bradley. This event comes after the Midwest Collegiate in Peru, Ind.

12 p.m. — Softball vs. St. Louis Community College (Scrimmage)
UIS will scrimmage Jefferson College at the UIS Softball Complex as part of its fall schedule.
