The Illinois Springfield Prairie Stars continue their fall season with another busy week of competition. Soccer teams will travel to Quincy and Missouri-St. Louis, volleyball will host McKendree and Missouri-St. Louis for its home-opening weekend, and both men's and women's golf will compete in tournaments. Softball will face Illinois State in a fall scrimmage, while men's and women's tennis will open their fall seasons at the Drury Invitational. 

Men's Golf heads to Indianapolis for the UIndy Fall Invitational. UIS is coming off a third-place finish at the Arch Cup, led by Jake Baldin, who finished seventh, while Cash McDonell placed 10th. The Prairie Stars look to build on that performance this week in another 54-hole tournament. 
 

Women's Golf returns to action at the Kansas City Cup, hosted by fellow GLVC member William Jewell. The tournament features several GLVC teams, including Rockhurst, Truman State, Quincy, Lincoln, William Jewell, Maryville, Drury and UIS. The Prairie Stars will be represented by five golfers as they continue their fall season. 

The Prairie Stars compete in the final round of the UIndy Fall Invitational at Broadmoor Country Club. 
 

UIS wraps up play at the Kansas City Cup, its second tournament of the fall season. 

UIS (3-3-1, 1-2-1 GLVC) heads to Quincy looking for its second conference win following a stretch of narrow defeats and a 1-1 draw at Missouri S&T. Quincy (3-1-4, 3-0-2 GLVC) enters the matchup after handing Rockhurst its first conference defeat and will look to continue its momentum. 
 

UIS (0-6-1, 0-3-1 GLVC) looks to secure its first win of the season when it travels to Quincy (4-1-3, 3-0-2 GLVC). The Prairie Stars fell 4-2 in their most recent match against Missouri S&T, while Quincy is unbeaten in its last three conference matches after most recently playing Rockhurst to a 0-0 draw. 

UIS (3-9, 0-2 GLVC) continues conference play with its home opener against McKendree (2-10, 0-2 GLVC). Both teams are looking for their first conference win of the season. The Prairie Stars are coming off a loss to Lewis, while McKendree most recently fell to Southwest Baptist. UIS trails 12-17 in the all-time series and will look to close the gap with a win at home. This week, in recognition of Hazing Prevention Week, students who wear blue receive one free popcorn!
 

5 p.m. — Softball at Illinois State (Scrimmage) 

UIS Softball travels to Normal, Ill., to face Illinois State in its second scrimmage of the fall season. 

UIS (3-9, 0-2 GLVC) remains home for its second match in as many days, hosting Missouri-St. Louis (7-5, 2-0 GLVC). The Prairie Stars will be coming off Friday's matchup with McKendree, while UMSL will travel to Springfield following its Friday match at Quincy. Wear blue to this week's match in recognition of Hazing Prevention Week and get one free popcorn!
 

UIS (3-3-1, 1-2-1 GLVC) plays its second match of the week when it travels to St. Louis to face UMSL (4-1-2, 3-0-1 GLVC). The Tritons will be coming off a midweek matchup against Lewis. The Prairie Stars lead the all-time series 9-7-2 and will look to extend that advantage. 
 

UIS (0-6-1, 0-3-1 GLVC) travels to St. Louis for its second match of the week, facing Missouri-St. Louis (2-3-1, 1-2-1 GLVC). The Prairie Stars will head to UMSL following their road match at Quincy and trail 6-10-3 in the all-time series. 
 

Both UIS tennis teams open their fall seasons at the Drury Invitational in Springfield, Mo. The event features UIS, host Drury, Rockhurst, Missouri-St. Louis, Southwest Baptist and NAIA member Evangel. This is the first of three events UIS Men's Tennis will compete in this semester and the first of two for the women's team. 
 

Women's Golf heads to Allendale, Mich., to compete in the 18th Annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State. The Prairie Stars will look to carry their momentum from earlier in the week at the Kansas City Cup as they compete over the span of three days.

Both tennis teams continue action at the Drury Invitational in Springfield, Missouri.
